With all this gorgeous weather London really does come alive, so when our friends Danni and Seb suggested we try out a secret pop up cocktail bar with them we couldn’t wait.
Tucked away in South East London is the Brunel Museum and at night the roof top is turned into a buzzy vibrant cocktail bar.
It’s free entry and you sit in the garden where the amazing cocktail gardener grows her ingredients.
There is a clever way they get round licensing where you buy tokens, so we set off with our pretend money ready to experience what sounded like the most wonderful cocktails….anything with Gin is is right up my street and with rose petals and jasmine grown from the garden it was sure to be as fresh as it could!
The smell in the garden is unreal and fairy lights and giant candles adorn the place, whilst a giant fire pit sits in the middle of the garden with the all important marshmallows provided. I mean what’s a fire pit without toasted marshmallows?
The bar was like a little haven and no one minded having to wait a little while for drinks as you took in your surroundings and chatted happily to others in the queue, all unanimous in the fact that this was seriously cool!
I went for The Chelsea Fringe Collins and J went for the Silver Rose Hibiscus. They were amazing and J’s was literally to die for!
Banter flowed…and the all important thumb war was taking place with our neighbours!
As day turns into night you really feel like you’re in your own little wonderland. Laughter and chatter fills the air and the garden really comes alive.
If you fancy something different and a little bit special then I can’t recommend this place enough. It’ll only be there for a short while longer so hurry down while you can! The link to the website is here.
We wandered home with the twinkly lights leading the way….pretty magical hey…
