Halfway House on the Heath

Now that we’ve moved from Chelsea and the hustle and bustle of Central London, we have the enjoyment of a walk to and from the station to get into town. We each spent a fair bit of time in town over the last few weeks with meetings, an evening at The Palladium and the new cast’s dress rehearsal of the musical Jersey Boys.

Walking back to the house through the heath, especially in the glorious weather we’ve been having recently, is never as fun without a pit-stop at our local.  The beautifully welcoming Princess of Wales Pub is gorgeous and its bashed copper table tops, log fires and country-pub feel takes us right back to our Devon roots.

No smart three course meal this time though! A bowl of ketchup laden chips and bottle of vino in some comfy big button-back chairs was just what we fancied!

Bliss!
